Top Five Atlanta Brunch Spots

Weekends are best spent going to brunch with your friends and bonding over mimosas. If you live near Atlanta, you’re just in luck! Atlanta has the finest restaurants for brunch lovers and foodies. Listed below are my favorites:

1. BQE Restaurant & Lounge

Image from Yelp page

Located in Edgewood, BQE serves the most delicious Southern comfort foods and provides New York aesthetics. Although it is pricey, the food is bomb here. The Red Velvet Chicken and Waffles is their most popular dish, and it definitely lives up to its expectations. Although there are so many amazing dishes, the Mac N Cheese is still my personal favorite! Not only is the food good, but the music is good too. The cocktails and alcoholic beverages served along with the optional hookah goes perfectly well with the lit hip-hop and trap music. For $24 per person until 4:30 PM on weekends, they serve bottomless cocktails, including mimosas, sangrias, and bellini’s! If you enjoy the fresh summer air, there is also an outside seating in their back patio with sofas and high chairs. A tip for my bunch lovers: I recommend making a reservation prior because this restaurant is always poppin’ and crowded.

2. Varasano’s Pizzeria

Located in Buckhead, Varasano’s Pizzeria has a casual and warm ambience with a full bar. They are most known for their delicious pizzas, but they also have a special menu during brunch times. I recommend their Brunch Pizza or Scrambled Egg Pizza if you want to try something new. For anyone with a sweet tooth, their Nutella banana pancakes is the perfect choice. If you would like a side, their rosemary potatoes are bomb! Varasano’s also offers bottomless mimosas, bloody mary’s, and bellini’s on the weekends until 4 PM for $14.95 per person! A huge perk is that parking is free in the garage right next to the restaurant.

3. Le Petit Marché

This spot is one of my favorites located in the Kirkwood area. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely - it gives a cute café kind of vibe, while the food reminds me of “home sweet home” brunch foods. Another nice aspect about Le Petit Marché is that you won’t have to wait around for your check at the end of your meal. Before looking for a table, you order in line at the register! Since the menu has a large selection of appetizing food (with a brunch and lunch menu), deciding what to eat is difficult. However, my personal favorite are the breakfast sandwiches that you can build yourself that even comes with a delicious banana dessert cup!

4. West Egg Café

This brunch restaurant is located in one of the best areas - the West Side/Home Park area of Atlanta with Yeah! Burger and Upbeet. With plentiful space, the restaurant offers free parking in the garage. It usually has a long wait. However, with the retail stores located around the restaurant, the wait isn’t too bad! While waiting, you also have the option to order drinks and coffee at the register. The café has a lot of unique drinks, such as the Iced Mango Coconut Latte. West Egg Café has a super cute ambience and is very spacious. They offer a breakfast and lunch menu, as well as a special brunch menu over the weekends. I recommend their Georgia Benedict (turkey sausage with eggs, gravy, and biscuits) served with their skillet potatoes, or you can build your own biscuit. On top of all this, the café also serves different flavored bloody mary’s and mimosas!

5. Hen Mother Cookhouse

This amazing spot is not in the city, but it is located in Johns Creek, which is in metro-Atlanta. The shopping center has plentiful parking space. The restaurant has an intimate brunch ambience with a southern charm. It is beautifully decorated and also has outside seating. The food in this locally owned restaurant is prepared by two happily married chefs. I hear a lot of great reviews on their Fluffy Brown Butter and Buttermilk Pancakes as well as their Cinnamon Bun. However, I tried their Breakfast Egg Sandwich and Yukon Potatoes. I definitely recommend this dish!

Because Atlanta is constantly growing and bustling with new restaurant businesses, there are so many other brunch restaurants to check out. However, these five mentioned above are a must. Brunch your heart out, and let us know what other places to check out!
